A ‘Ghoul’ is a term referring to a human who has ingested vampire blood without first being drained. The benefits to the lucky human are immediate, and can grow to be quite drastic. Thanks to the power of the Blood Bond, they make loyal servants who can remain active during the day. Most vampires make some use of Ghouls, with the most common exceptions appearing amongst the Brujah and Gangrel clans, though in any case it’s a matter of personal preference.
Ghouls gain limited access to Vampiric Disciplines, most especially the physical ones, and a few can learn the disciplines of the clan they get blood from. They also stop aging, which, combined with the addictiveness of Vampire blood, makes for VERY devoted long-term servants.
The Sabbat makes extensive use of Ghouls as brainwashed shock troops, daylight guards, and servants. The Tzimisce especially are known to create elaborate and horrifying creations from Ghouls, who are robust enough to withstand some of the more extreme ministrations of the Viccissitude discipline.
